PONTE DEL DIAVOLO

Tolentino [MC]
arch. Livio Gambacorta
1994
One of the symbolic monuments of the city built in 1268 and designed by the master builder Bentivegna (according to the legend, it was in fact built by the devil). The renovation and restoration operations included a series of works for the most damaged parts at the base of the bridge and in the area of the  riverbed, so as to reduce erosion by the river Chienti.

In the architectural work the company therefore proceeded to fill some cavities existing at the base of the bridge, to renovate and consolidate the walls downstream of the platform and the area downstream and restored the flooring, reconstructing missing or damaged parts and restoring those in good condition.
